Providing a safe space for those in ministry.
Brett once talked with a good friend in ministry who shared that when he became a Lead Pastor he no longer had any friends. This is heartbreaking.
And yet, this is a far too common truth among not only Lead Pastors, but anyone in ministry, particularly those on staff in a church or serving as a missionary. Building true and safe friendships becomes especially difficult. This leaves pastors and spouses feeling isolated and lonely--a desperate and dangerous place.
We're changing that unfortunate reality by becoming advocates for them, and providing a physical and relational space for them to Come Away.
And we're inviting you to do the same. Having a safe space to wrestle and pray and dialogue through the difficulties of ministry is absolutely vital for healthy lives and ministries.
Come Away, and Work
It's a bit of a paradox, but it takes a lot of work to provide a space to rest!
We invite you to join us in this endeavor! If you're willing to make the time and you've got a little bit of skill or at least a heart willing to work hard in a beautiful setting, we'd love to have you come help prepare this space into a place of respite.

It takes more than just many hands and strong backs to get a space ready to invite others into, it takes financing, too. We know many of you are giving regularly to your church home and we'd like to extend you the opportunity to give further to ministry staff in order to provide this space.
Because it can be next to impossible for those in ministry to carve out the time, let alone the money, to get away for some much-needed rest, our vision is to offer this retreat space to ministry leaders to Come Away without cost to them.
Our goal is to add 20 new monthly partners to the team this year! Whether you give $25, $50, or $100 a month, your gift will help immensely and will allow us to get that much closer to hosting pastors on site!
